How to enable Developer options on the Samsung Galaxy S3 after updating Android

I recently performed an over-the-air update for my Samsung Galaxy S3, to bring it up to version 4.3 of the Android operating system. For some reason, doing this meant that the Developer options menu disappeared from my phone’s menu settings. I needed these back but thankfully it is an easy fix. All that is needed is to perform the following steps:

  • Go to the phone’s Settings menu, then select the More tab
  • Select About Device
  • Scroll to the bottom where it says Build Number – touch this repeatedly until Developer mode is enabled

That’s all there is to it! This also works for other devices where the Developer options have been hidden. Here is a quick video showing the steps above:

  1. Thanks. I used it on Acer A3-A10 and it worked. Now, how to turn it off?

  2. I don’t know if it’s possible to turn it off, but I don’t think it’s really necessary – it shouldn’t void any warranties as it is part of the stock operating system.

  3. Thanks a lot Keane, i really found it helpful

  4. I remember when this update made everyone crazy
