It’s been a while since Apple accused Samsung of infringing patents, so to make up for it here is a new claim. As written by FOSS Patents, apparently Google Now infringes on some Siri patents regarding unified search. Why they have chosen to go after Samsung rather than Google is an interesting question.
Apple are also going after the Samsung Galaxy S4, claiming that it infringes the same patents as the previous Galaxy devices.
Just imagine if Apple could come up with some new and innovative technology instead of coming out with minor iterations of the same device each year – they might not be losing market share quite so rapidly? Perhaps if they concentrated on R&D instead of litigation, who knows what could happen?
